I'd be a bit careful with this one, I have read on Amazon reviews that very similar packages are not spring assisted.

Well, both of these knives are supposed to be assisted opening. I'll let you know if they are not for some reason. I cannot think of any reason why they wouldn't be.

I have a Freefall in my pocket right now and I assure you, it is an assisted open knife. The Swerve is listed as a "Speedsafe" as well on the Kershaw website.

I believe you I just know what I see in that auction listing. If assisted is what I wanted, I would make double sure before I bid on it.

Mine should be here by Monday. I'll let you know. Seems odd that Kershaw would make the same knife with the same name and the Speedsafe tang on the blade and it be manual instead of assisted. Says its a Swerve and a Freefall and both are listed as AO on the Kershaw site. I'll keep them either way.

edit... I see where it says "Manual Swerve" on the package. Oh well, still a nice knife for the money.
