bill of sale for a trade?

Y'all are free to do them, but I won't be giving out or maintaining personal information. Maybe I would sign one that include a privacy agreement and you provided evidence of a secure location with references to all those who may come into contact with the information(all those in the household, regular visitors, your attorney, etc).

If someone sells one gun that ends up in a crime and the police come knocking, is he going to hand over all his BoS info to the police including the guns not sold to criminals?

How in the wild world of **** does a BoS keep a gun out of the hands of a criminal? Are you performing a background check? What is your legal obligation in regards to information retention? What are my assurances that my confidential info will be kept safe?

If you are that damned worried, use one of our fine FFLs to transfer the weapon and since you are the paranoid one, you get to pay.

:heh:

I use to do bill of sales back when I was younger. I kept them all in a small safe for years. I had at least 50 guys personal information and home addresses on them. The someone stole the safe.

This. I'll show you a copy of my ID and my GFL. But you must of fell and bumped your head if you think I'm letting you write any of that info down and take it with you to do whatever you want to with it.

And without doing a background check or an FFL transfer, all you have is a piece of paper that proves you sold to a felon. But, as always, you're free to ask for whatever you want to here, but I personally will not buy one that requires it and I won't sell one where the buyer requires it.

Only way YOU are going to get to copy my ID numbers is if YOU are in the business of selling firearms for a living and need them numbers to run the govt mandated background check. Other wise YOU are going to pay for the FFL dealer that YOU requested we do this deal thru.
