Can I send an 1100 to my grandparents in Oregon?

my grandad requested that I buy a Remington 1100 here in Georgia and ship it to his home state in Oregon. It sounds suspicious to me. I would like to know y'all's thoughts on the matter thank you

Get the shotgun and go to a dealer and have him ship it to a gun store close to your Grandad..He can pick it up and fill out the 4470 form

Oregon is enforcing new laws to limit purchases of ammo and firearms. Deadline to buy was today. News I read indicated it would take a year before a purchase started tomorrow would likely result in a sale and the individual getting custody of the weapon.

OP, you and your grandfather need to research the new situation with Oregon attorneys /Oregon FFLs and then decide what liabilities/risks you both are willing to shoulder. These could be substantial.

If you purchase the shotgun in a private sale, then transfer it from your GA dealer to his OR dealer, then you might be ok. Consult with a lawyer.
