DA/SA summer time carry .........?

I'll admit that the trigger on the HK P30 is garbage. Long and heavy with a terrible reset. I redid my trigger with parts for the longslide P30 competition gun, plus a "short" reset trigger kit from Gray Guns. It is now "acceptable" to me, but in no way anything to brag about. It isn't as good as an out of the box 3rd Gen S&W with the magazine safety removed, or a DA/SA SIG with the SRT.
Did you have the LEM trigger? I like mine but I only really care about triggers on bench guns. But I havent switched many out on pistols. I try to leave as many factory parts on a carry gun as possible.

Might have to hunt for a while but what you described sounds like an old school real metal frame single stack Smith. Hammer fired DA/SA with at least 7 in the mag. I can never keep all them Smith model numbers straight but for some reason 5906 keeps popping into my head.

Edit: I looked it up on Google images and figured out the model I was referring to was the 3913. Nice slim 8 round package.

Phenomenal guns!

Nope, standard DA/SA with the decock only, no safety. It’s what they call the V3.

Lucky Gunner has a nice guide to the S&W 3rd gen autos: https://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/guide-smith-wesson-semi-automatic-models/

When I feel like a semi-auto, one of my favs. Hits all the right spots.

Most excellent gun for pocket carry.

Plus for me is like most Smith semi, ambidextrous safety. Worth $100 right there.

I like high cap mags so I carry
my P226 year round.
Got jumped by 40 BLM
types once and vowed never to let that happen again so I’ve got 17 +1 X-3 on me at all times.
I got used to carrying full sized at 4:00 so it doesent bother me.
My son in law carries the same pistol appendix carry comfortably with his set up.
I really need to get with him and try out a similar holster because carrying full frame appendix seems uncomfortable as hell and impossible to conceal yet he doesn't print at all and it’s super comfortable and a real solid holster.
My biggest problem in life I swear is finding a darned holster that I like.
