F/N Five Seven: All hype or awesome gun?

The FiveseveN is a great gun when a p90 is strapped to your back. But in the real world, It's only real advantages are capacity and light recoil.

I am looking for answers. I THINK I want a Five Seven. I have never shot one and I know the ammo is expensive. I would like some feedback and reviews from people who have shot or owned one.

What is maintenance like?
What would you tell someone who has NO experience with one?

My daily carry pistol is a Springfield XDM 9 4.5" with the Stainless slide.

Just like any gun only as accurate as the one pulling the trigger. I have 2 one Black one FDE had a PS90 loved it also. Ammo is being made by others now ammo can be had for about the same price as .22 mag now.

Other than the price one of the best pistols I have ever shot! My brother bought one about 10 years ago and paid around $1100. It was a hell of a first pistol and was when you could get ammo cheap. We both learned how to really shoot with this gun and it's crazy accurate! If the ammo wasn't so scarce and expensive vs other calibers I would buy one myself!

anyone here reload the 5.7? I looked into it a while ago but with the laquer coating on the brass it sounded like it was a pain to either keep in intact or strip it and go that route..

for me, if I can't reload it, not that interested in it. I have a few other odd calibers so a lot of what I shoot I can't buy at WalMart. Or local gun shops for that matter. but a decent stock of brass and bullets makes up for it.
