It was a death sentence at Parris Island when a recruit got a care package!!!
That was almost 30 yrs ago, I'm sure lots has changed.

When I was in high school, 30+ years ago, I had a buddy at Parris Island. He wrote me and said he really missed dipping Copenhagen. Being the good friend that I was, and a bit naive, I sent him 2 cans.I later got a letter saying he was gonna beat my ass when he got home!

He had to dip both cans while he ran, did push ups, etc. Oops, sorry buddy!

Prayer sent. I remember basic like it a yesterday. Had to pay for mail in pushups and paid dearly if any food was sent. When my brother went through, I put a Marine Corps sticker on the envelope for his letter. His DSgt smoked him like a cheap cigar. LOL... He called our Mom and told on me. I'd do it again in a minute.

it is a point system........ my son has worked his butt off every night after working doing online classes/work
he dropped his green to gold packet couple months back, now just playing the hurry up and wait game
