Georgians pack active shooter classes

"Most courses focus more on actions that can be taken without a weapon, like the one held on recent Sunday in Marietta, Ga., where about 700 people crowded into an auditorium for a two-hour lesson from police.

More than 22,000 people have taken classes like the one in Marietta in an effort launched over the past year by an active-shooter training program at Texas State University that receives federal funds and partners with the Federal Bureau of Investigation."

I just held an employee orientation for a college campus and active shooter training was at the top of the agenda. Run. Hide. Fight was the mantra.

It amazes me that all these people want training but have yet to sincerely question the benefit of being unarmed and trained or simply just being armed. Then consider the effectiveness of being armed and trained.

Are these people stupid?

What's worse is the government training puppets who provide this less than lethal training and specifically omit the effectiveness of an armed response compared to an unarmed one. But guns are much too dangerous for the common peasant to possess, leave that to the professionals, when they finally arrive and make active shooter contact.
