Pretty much. That g36 was a huge failure . That is sort of complex as there is a lot of finger pointing . HK makes a ton of good stuff . Statistically they were well overdue for them finally making a piece of garbage . The G36 is it

Ive never held or shot an hk so dont have a dog in the fight. Just remember reading about that. They look cool. Just a little pricey for me personally.

HK hasn't made anything good since the mp5 and they been banking in that one item for years. Your buying a name HK pistols are nothing special and this rifle is the same. .

Well that's a completely uneducated statement...........................You do realize that HK along with FNH are the leading Military weapons suppliers in the world? With that comes a huge selection and lots of to failure demos to shore up these contracts.........90% of their platforms you have probably never even seen.

Truth. HK makes some amazing stuff. HK and FNH both are probably the most diversified company's in the world when it comes to small arms. Both companies can supply an army with everything from machine guns, to grenade launchers to side arms. Since the 70s HK has been at the cutting edge of small arms R&D. They have made and continue to make some really cool stuff.

As for their pistols they are some of the most rugged and reliable guns on the market. They were often overlooked due to their price point. I have heard over and over again that Glocks, S&Ws or Sigs are just as good but they just aren't. Guns like the HK P30, USP series, HK45 series and VP9 are over engineered, durable, reliable and accurate pistols.

If you want to know how well they stack up google the P30 and HK45 endurance tests done by Todd Green years ago, the P30 went 91K rounds or search how well they have held up at places like Battlefield Vegas compared to other brands like the Gen 4 Glock that can't make it very far without having a catastrophic slide failure.

The problem with HK is not really HKs fault . Import and export laws prevent us from getting the really good stuff . I’m hoping the new American facility changes that but then again i pray they don’t pull a Sig Sauer
