In one way I prefer the Colt double heat shield hand guards because of how they control the heat so much better, but I also don't prefer them because they are bigger round than the other makes, like my bushmasters single heat shield ...

Doesnt metal fatigue when it is heated up? Even forged steel or heat treated hardened steel, I always thought reheating this type of metal will weaken it.
Also, isnt 4 mag dumps the magic number at which point you risk a cookoff? I remember reading this is some military report.

I saw a guy wrap tinfoil with bacon around the barrel and it cooked the bacon, the guy ate it right off the barrel.
