How much should brush hogging cost per hour

I am looking at having some trails/shooting lanes brush hogged, about how much a hour should it cost?

$75/hr with 2 hr min is common around my area.

Have seen rates all over the map recently, but a good average in this area has been $100/hour for a compact tractor with a 5 ft bush hog mowing about an acre per hour of tall grass, briars and saplings.

I think.... the going rate is around $10/ft of mower. So for a 15ft batwing, yeah, $150. But small jobs would be priced by the job. In other words, I ain't coming to your house with a 7ft mower and an half hour worth of work for $35.00. Just my .02

You have to pay a man to load a tractor, drive to your location, burn fuel getting there and while there, the actual time it takes to mow and then he has to load it all up and go home. That doesn't take into consideration he has to pay for and keep equipment up.

It will be a lot cheaper if you can find someone close by like a neighbor who can just run over and do it.
