How to stop a raging elephant.....ROLL TIDE ROLL

When not playing Alabama I pull for Georgia to win. I have a daughter and son-in-law that graduated from UGA, so I always wish them well. I like Coach Richt personally, but he needs to take them from being a good team in the SEC to an elite program by winning some championships.

Last year Alabama had a 13-1 (7-1 SEC) record, defeated Georgia, 32-28, in the SEC Championship; routed Notre Dame, 42-14, to win a second straight and third BCS National Championship in the past four seasons. The bar has been set high, so Georgia is going to have to up their game to compete.

Yes, I do think Saban has less character than Richt. I judge a man by his words and deeds not by those of his 'students'.
I did understand what you wrote about a couple of championships. Which is why I asked what if he won LESS than he would have if he wasn't crazy? Thought it was clear enough.... guess not.

what has saban done to make u think of him as a man with character flaws?

if a man can win just 1 title and be crazy i'm all for it.

Let's see for one, he lied, multiple tims publicly. That included his players and recruits who made life long decisions based on his word.
2) Fair enough. Please take Miles.

GeauxLSU you do remember that Saban won a National Championship while at LSU. Perhaps you consider leaving LSU for the NFL is a "character flaw". Or is it that he decided to return to college coaching and picked Alabama? It is hard to argue with success. Saban and Alabama are setting the standard that other teams in the NCAA can only aspire to reach.

Of course I do. He's the best (if by 'best' you measure it in the ability to win and win NC's) in the game, by far, right now. Some people have a problem distinguishing 'success' and 'flaws'. I don't.

Since neither of us can know what truly is in the heart of anyone (only God knows for sure), it is hard to judge anyone's character. I have no doubt that you can find many coaches that exhibit character and are "nice" guys, but in today's college football world success is measured by the win/loss record. There is no doubt that Saban is the best in the game. By the way, I think he is a man of character that knows how to win.

Agreed, but I think he has no character and is as slimy as they come. Plus the way his family tells it, he's absent. I WILL give Miles that, he may be crazy, but he appears to be an excellent family man. Not that that forgives him for throwing his own player under the bus and not taking responsibility for his own coaching mistake.... That aside, I stand by my statement, father of player, give me Richt, AD of a D1 program, hire Saban and keep him happy.
