I mostly stand hunt but normally walk a mile or more to my stand, so finding a boot that is good for walking and will still keep your feet warm is tough..I have worn 100s of diff boots but have yet to find a compromise .

What you wearing and why...

i have a older set of bellevilles that i used in the military. love em, amazingly comfortable and have withsood many, many miles and both sandboxes lol. go through laces pretty good due to how they lace though. although, if i know the land where im hunting and i can get away with it i just rock a pair of tennis shoes unles its super cold lol.

closest they have now i can find http://www.bellevilleboot.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=53

some nice bates http://www.batesfootwear.com/US/en-US/Product.mvc.aspx/17814M/0/Mens/M-8-Tactical-Boot?dimensions=0

Uninsulated Danners with a pair of medium weight Smartwool socks. Never wear cotton.

Down here it doesn't get cold enough to warrant much insulation, if any. A good wool sock, and comfortable boot is the ticket.

yeah I have seen those sell on ebay for a little as 30 bucks on no reserve auctions..

Lacrosse Alpha's with snake protection. $150 insurance against a large hospital bill and a lot of pain and suffering. Snakes have no sense of humor.

Irish Setter boots I bought from Bass Pro. Pretty warm with a thick part of wool socks. Water proof and comfortable. Paid less than $100 I believe.
