I agree, the dog was not at fault; I blame the instigator
Just like i said it was the Dog owners fault >
why was he filming the police anyway ? There was an investigation going on obviously!!! Wich is obstruction = jail to anyone with common sence ... Plus the owner could have secured the dog well enough for this not to happen . I am a dog lover and i hated to even watch this but the dog did what cam natural that being protect his peice of sh** owner , But on the other hand i have been around cops all my life my father retired after 26 yrs of service .. I guess that is why i see this the way i do .... TO EACH THERE OWN

Filming the police is not obstruction.

There are so many laws on the books that even a Senate hearing can't find out what they all are. The laws are so mixed up and getting worse that people will challenge them more and more. Was the pet owner right or wrong... I don't believe he broke any laws but who knows what happened before the taping began ? I'm still wondering why the area wasn't taped off. Let's face it, cops get heckled and they're supposed to be trained to not let it faze them and not take it personal. I personally would've stayed back and enjoyed the show but some people's line in the sand is further out.

What is against the law exactly ? Our society is made of many types of people, we are in trouble if we resort to killing the dogs of stupid people.

From what I've read about what was going on:

- According to the LA Times, The police department was out in force after responding to armed-robbery suspects who had barricaded themselves in a home. The situation could have been deadly and officers needed to secure a perimeter.

- The man with the dog has a history with that particular department, including being arrested for drugs and domestic violence and also has a current lawsuit against the department.

- Many people in the background could be heard asking what the subject and his dog were doing “so close” to police cars and the operations going on at the residence.

- The subject appears to exchange words with officers, puts his dog in the vehicle with windows down….and then walks up to be handcuffed by officers…as if he wanted to be arrested…perhaps to use as a “retaliation” charge against the department for the ongoing lawsuit. That is an opinion....from experience.

Let's not forget, if the police were involved in an incident with armed robbers barricaded in the house and the jackass with the dog is cursing them and causing a commotion, then technically, he's obstructing justice. Last time I checked, obstruction of justice is against the law. Why is such a simple concept so hard for some of you to grasp?

I'm not a LEO, but I have not seen them tape off an area excet for crime scenes .... the beginning of the video showed SWAT making an entry and it appears the 2 officers across the street were esablishing a perimeter.

Seems like everyone else in the crowd were keeping their distance...........

Mainly that filming and cussing the police is not obstruction. Unless the guy threatened the police officers, they were completely in the wrong.

Some people don't know when to leave well enough alone. The guy with the dog pushed his limits and his mutt paid for it. The guy also has a lengthy history with that particular police department.....a fact that most here seem to be overlooking.
