Agreed that he is more conservative, but I also agree that "static" would have been easier to hear than dead. Dead means dead or not changing. If they all had a strict view we would be in a better place as a country, but when your verbiage lets the other side spin your meaning its not helping. So if on NPR they say "even Scalia says its dead" u have given them a bullet to shoot at you.
