Legal to shoot dogs chasing deer on your hinting property?

Caught three big dogs chasing a deer on my trail cam.
One was a Pitt bull and two looked like full sized shepherds.

The deer was a shooter too... A fairly mature 8 point.

The dogs need to die!

Do you think they were they someones dogs that were trained to run deer or just strays?
I think it's illegal in some counties to let your animals run freely but I probably wouldn't shoot a dog the first time I saw it. I'd try to safely get a look at a collar to contact the owner.
If the dog gets aggressive then it's made my choice for me.
