If they pass it people will hand them over in droves....Today I was having lunch with our Corporate VP, DM, and Regional HR Manager....all of which believe after friday's shooting no one should have guns. Needless to say I kept my mouth shut....but people are wanting a ban on these tools.

I seriously doubt that any of you will hand in your ARs willingly. Bet you $1 million that only about 5% of owners of semi-auto rifles w/ detachable mags will even think about having them "registered".

Or do you mean "people will pass over names of owners in droves"?

Anyway, any sort of legistlation will not even get close to passing. There is a Republican house that doesn't want to piss off their voters.

The only time you have to worry is if there is a Democrat house and senate.... maybe in the near future?

The proposed ban would be "prospective" vs. "retroactive". There is proposed REGISTRATION, and a restriction on transfer of ownership. Please donate money to a gun rights group now.
