Meet Zoid Jr. . . . . . .

ODT Bretheren,

It has been hard to breath the past few days. I know my son Nate wasn't an "official" member of ODT, but we was "Zoid Jr." at the M&G's.

Many of you have prayed for our family and offered whatever you could in assistance to us. Just let me say, that you all have already done everything we needed. By knowing my son, even briefly, and being kind to him, made a lasting impact on him, which helped to make him into the phenomenal young man he had become. I could not have every asked for a better son. You made an impact on him and helped form who he was.

I am forever indebted. Let me better introduce you to my son . . . . . .

Let me know y'all are from ODT. I am expecting quite a few folks that I may not recognize.

We have asked in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to St. Mary's Independent Living Extensions. They provide living for disabled adults. We were planning on contacting them for arrangements for Nate after we pass.

Really have no words but God be with you brother.God Speed.

I first 'met' Nate at an ODT Meet 'N Greet at a BBQ restaurant (go figure!) There was the exchange of gifts as I recall, and a lot of folks moving up and down the aisles. With each passing person, Nate's smile grew bigger and bigger as each passing person greeted Nate. It was devastating, hearing of Nate's passing. So glad you and Mrs. Zoid attended the ODT Christmas Party. Yes, it was part of the healing process for us too. Nate...you sir, are always welcome at our M&Gs in spirit.

Five years? Hard to believe.
I think this was Williamson Brothers in Marietta, huh, a BBQ place. I wish I had slowed down to get it focused. I do remember Zoid, and Nate, and all of us were having a great time! I think I remember that name tag says Not Leatherhead. Don't remember the backstory there.
Very glad to have met both of the Zoids!

I remember it well. It was The Olde Hickory House in Tucker.

Sir, somehow missed this post, previously. I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. What a fine young man. And, what a beautiful story of his life. He was raised in a family that cherished him. God bless you all.

I never met him but after reading this I would have really liked to have met him. Nothing can be said to ease the pain of your loss, but you sir are a great father and my heart hurts for you. God be with you.
