Moving to GA, shipping my guns--what do I need to know?

Any trusted FFLs you can recommend within reasonable drive of Atlanta area?

What part are you moving too? 30 miles in the Atlanta area can mean anything between 25 and 90 minutes away.

North of Atlanta I'd call Cherokee Gun and Pawn. they do free transfers, although that is from FFLs. Not sure about private shipments.

We haven't decided yet... possibly Fayette County to the South or Cobb/Fulton to the NW.

Why are you shipping at all? If you are driving at least one car, just transport them and save the money.

Dobbs Defense, Fourth Armory.....lots of other choices too....depends on where your house is.

What part of ATL are you moving to ? Cherokee gun and pawn say they do free transfer. Have never done one with them but when I asked for a copy of there FFL they gave me one no questions asked.

Thanks. I'm very excited to be a Georgia resident, even more excited my kids are going to grow up in the South and not California. I have felt the sting of infringement, and as you can see, have some deep scars. I will always fight for the right to keep and bear. I've come to learn the biggest enemy to gun owners in CA is fellow gun owners; they never get out and vote, never sign petitions, don't belong to the NRA (and then complain that the NRA isn't doing anything for them)--it's death by complacency. Activism is key to our survival.
