Some GI took this off a Nazi officer. It's a war trophy and that is kind of cool.

And if I remember correctly they were collected and many destroyed... 100 or so unaccounted for. If it is authentic it has tremendous historical value and is VERY rare. It is laden with extremely dark history but is historically significant.
