New gasoline truck or used diesel?

gas is cheaper

Save $8 K when you buy it
Save 50 cents a gallon when you drive it

Unless you're towing for a living every day
There is no need for a diesel
Especially with some of the new gassers

A 5.7 gasser tundra with 400HP and 400TQ will pull a 9000 lb trailer easily

We ditched our 7.3 diesel F-350 for the tundra
And it pulls the same trailers just as easy
Gets the same MPG and keeps us under the limit for getting hassled by the DOT
And doesn't cost $220 for an oil change and $2600 for injectors and $3000 for the new trans because no one but Allison can make a auto that will last long behind a diesel

A few years ago you needed a turbo diesel to get that kind of power

They are all over priced. All of them. That is why I drive a 2004 2500hd gas burner. Chevrolet trucks in the last ten years increased in cost by 41%. :(

I have a 6.4 powerstroke for about a year. It runs great now. It's only needed three radiators, low side turbo, brake job, head studs and a few extras I had them do when the cab was up.

Also had all the deletes done.

It'll run like a scalded dog now. Hopefully I'm finished working on it for a couple years. .

Diesels are cool, but if I didn't work out of a truck every day I would have gas.
