I've used the "am I under arrest? So I'm free to go?" before. When the answer was "no" I promptly got in my car and left.

I am unclear on the producing ID if asked. It's my understanding if a cop asks for ID, even with no reasonable suspision of a crime committed, you have to show it.
Anyone know what this is for sure?
