I've got an old Enfield rifle that I'm not 100% sure of the age. I got it from my grandfather and it has 1917 on it, but I dont know if that the year of manufacture or not.

I believe those were only made from 1917-1918, by Winchester, Remington, and Eddystone (a subsidiary of Remington).

Yep and functional. Dad's friend dug it up while digging fish bait (worms) years ago. Dad made the stock.

Springfield 1896 30-40 Krag

I’ve got one of those as well. Then there’s an old Winchester .22 pump from 1902, and an old .38 short revolver from 1906. All were my grandfather’s guns that I inherited, and prized family heirlooms. I still shoot the Krag and the pistol.

My FIL had an Eddystone that he traded for a left handed Savage .22-250 varmint rifle with scope, plus $400 cash in his pocket. He’s kicking himself for that trade now. At least he got a nice rifle, with an even nicer scope in the deal. It’s got a Swarovski on it.
