I guess I should clarify on the shotguns... I have a lot of shotguns. And they aren’t included in this thought process and I’m not getting rid of them. I have shotguns for hunting and shotguns for home defense. And shotguns as beaters for my truck or hunting camp. I’m just thinking hunting rifles here and the slug gun qualifies more as a rifle than a SG in my opinion

I consolidated my calibers due to poor eyesight.

300 win mag and 7mm mag, the 7mm had to go

30-06 and 270, 270 had to go

30-30 and 35, 35 had to go

12 or 20 ga, no 16 ga

270 is a Ruger M77 Hawkeye stainless
7mm mag is a Ruger M77 Mii wood and blued
12 ga is a H&R rifled slug gun

I’m some what in the same boat as you but I would often my sell guns to pay for whatever was needed or if a unexpected bill came up. I’m basically started over my collection but my fiancée says no more guns or knives selling. Keep them, sounds like I got it right this time lol

My wife has never made any comment about my firearms, buying selling or trading.

She did complain when I carried her along for a transaction and talked for 30+ minutes. She was waiting in the restaurant.

She sometimes mouths off about my ODT time. lol I put her on IGNORE. lol

When her pistol got stolen, she did tell me that I needed to replace it.
