@1006 that is the same one I have saved in my phone. I think mine came from a YouTube video. I am not going to go with the factory spec. That list does not show the Dan Wesson gap. It’s less then those mentioned. I believe it’s around .004
So the top of the frame has been drilled and tapped. Another member was kind of to let me borrow his tap. So that sped things up dramatically. Sight is mounted.
And now to the other thing I did!!! Remember me talking about possibly fitting a blues cylinder to the gun?? Well I did that also. Test fired for function. So it will be a blued barrel and blues cylinder. Now just to finish off the barrel and cylinder gap. Maybe some range time tomorrow.
And it goes bang. I believe the gun is way more accurate than I am. Being that I am on night shift my body is rejecting this thing called sunlight. I figured I did ok for somebody who is tired as hell. Maybe another day I can shoot it to the guns full potential. As for now time for a nap. Maybe later a full detailed clean and metal prep.
Parts are sanded to be blued. Shooting for Thursday night on that. I left the flutes in the cylinder original blue. Wondering how it will look if if I don’t sand them. Two different textures will give a slightly different appearance.
Those pesky engraved numbers are now gone. I like using a sharpie to fill the engravings and sand. When I sand I can see exactly what is left and where it is. It took 45 minutes of elbow grease sanding in every direction to get rid of them but they are gone. Now to determine what grit to finish the stainless at. Maybe locate a polishing wheel for when I am finished.
