Have you looked at the Ruger African M77 in 6.5x55? It's a bit pricey but looks like a sweet rifle.
If it's true iron sights that you want, I'd look at some classic rifles. The stocks were designed to be used with iron sights so you'll have a better sight picture. I like my Savage 340 in 30-30, has a peep sight & the 30-30 will take care of anything that I'm aiming at with irons.
