Retro AR pic/build thread

Some of the recent retro talk has me wanting to see who all is in the game.

My purchase today is a 20" FN barrel, Colt bcg, early A1 buttstock--no trapdoor, A1 grip, LM marked A1 upper. The right side triangle handguard has a broken tooth but NOS right side ones are available, I gotta order one. I have the proper flat slip ring on the way. I'm going to get an old gray charging handle also. This one has the large round forward assist...I may swap it for a teardrop. The M5 RAS is coming off in a minute!

Not sure what to do about a retro lower receiver yet. NODAK aren't cheap!

What are y'all building/have/want?

I'd does look cool on there. I made my own design just for the heck of it for my 15-22. It's just that finishing touch.

I’m not really an AR guy but the ones I do own are retro. The Vietnam era to me was the best time in its history. Not counting the ammo powder switch which caused the early issues . Just the look and feel.

The XM177 is by far my favorite . Perfect size and handy. Then you got big mama ... the M16A1 .
