My wife hunts with a Ruger American 7-08. I've shot it and it is a very nice rifle for the money that has good groups at 100 yards. I would imagine the .308 version would produce the same results.......... DEAD DEER!

I have one in .308 and love it! It's not a battle rifle but it is a damn good hunting rifle. Great trigger and smooth bolt action. Put good glass on it and slay away.

I've taken 4 deer and 2 pigs with mine. Fun story, i got both pigs with a single shot! They were side by side and it was through and through and through and through. 308 rocks
