I do this all the time fueling up at Costco. My truck's tank is on the driver's side like most american and japanese cars. Most German vehicles are on the passenger side hence why the line is always shorter on the other side. I refuse to wait an extra 10~ mins to not "look" stupid.

But I will wait an extra 10 minutes to fuel up at Costco rather than Sam's for top tier gas.
