As far as looks go the 590 nightstick has that department covered but for functionality I’d definitely go with a mossberg persuader. I haven’t shot one personally but the grip feels far more natural to me. I have kind of small hands so it’s honestly a bit hard to even get a shooting grip on the birdshead. I think that slip on grip sleeve and keeping my thumb to the side should fix all of my problems though.

I love my Poly Public Defender, it weighs less than my Block30 but the recoil is more manageable than you’d think.

From what little I know about Smith shotguns the 3000 was the pump and the 1000 was the auto loader. How the 1000P came along is a mystery to me.

I posted the pic and info from Gunbroker when I got it. At the time there were about a dozen available. Now they DID get me for $40.00 in shipping. But even with that and $25.00 transfer I was in it for $165.00. You can't walk in Academy or any local shops and find that kinda deal on a new shotgun.
