Should I be skeered of Florida used cars?

That’s the kind of info I’m looking for. The car fax checks out, no accidents and service looks good. I’m eyeballing all the steel but really never considered the rubber. Thanks!

I drove cars and trucks in S FL for more than 20 years. Never had any problem with rust.

Inspect thoroughly.

Especially any inside pockets in the interior where you can pull back carpet or kick panel. Also look on firewall for water line markets. I have seen several trucks rusting in corners of cabs from inside out and that’s due to water and sediment built up

Most of us don’t have to keep them as long as you do.

look under the seats for rust on the bolts you normally never see. if it was a flood car they probably did the bare minimum of repairs to sell it

No probs with Florida cars... lots of senior owned vehicles with low miles and a HUGE car auction market out of Orlando. Way easier to find a low mileage used car in FL than GA! (I bought one of my sons a car there on Craigslist and flew down to drive it back!)
