I’m a lot of things, a damn liar ain’t one of them. By the time I was 13, I was well versed in the damage an adult could wreak on me and my life. I had already lived through the destruction that follows. No way I would be involved, I would run away. Like it or not, she manipulated that boy for her gratification. He wasn’t capable of being emotionally or sexually involved with a 29 year old. If I misinterpreted your remarks, my apologies.

I really am disgusted by some of the comments in this thread. A 26 year old human instigated sex with a 12 year old human and some of us are cheering that 12 year old on. Remember, the article said that he had just turned 13. So a 26 year old human was sending nudes to a 12 year old and you guys are cool with that? Disgusting.

Did you fail to read the part where the young man, in court, couldn't get through the description of what happened to him because he was crying? Or how this experience turned him suicidal?

Now why on the lords green earth would the kid threaten to harm himself after carrying on this escapade for 3 YEARS? Because she broke it off and buddy got mad (ive experienced this mind tactic first hand with a crazy ex).

How could that possibly screw him up? This wouldve never even came to light had the girl not cut him off from the snatch and the guy started harassing her about it plus threating self harm if she didnt hand over that kitty.

I have a GD that her own mother gave her a phone(without our permission) at 11 with pictures of her mother in various sexual positions actively engaged. Wasn’t intentional but she forgot to clear the hidden app. Plus she’s a POS.
To an undeveloped mind that told her that sex at that age was normal and OK wink wink, nod nod, from a person of authority. So she tried to act on these comprehension.
Kids don’t comprehend the same as a developed adult. But often take from certain actions they see, as OK and normal. When it doesn’t go the way they were expected it puts them into different emotional problems. Sometime not that bad but others it’s quite severe.
In our case we had 7 years in and out of metal health facility’s and hospitals. Cutting, attempts at suicide, strong feelings of self loathing etc etc.
Yeah it screws up young minds. That’s a fact.

I speak from a position of experience on MULTIPLE topics within this thread, both good and bad.

Can these things mess you up? Absolutely, there are always exceptions. But if (hypothetically) you walk into a middle school and ask the male population in said school about which teachers they thought were attractive, the vast majority would a list already in their head and would leap at the opportunity to live out their fantasies.

The internet is both a blessing and a curse. Most kids (especially boys) have already watched porn by the time they hit 13 (and a lot have already hit a double).

at 13 I lusted after all sorts of stuff I wasn't ready for. Women, cars, trucks, motorcycles, tanks, fighter jets, drugs, etc. Looking back, I am thankful that there wasn't anyone around in my circle that thought it would be a good idea to let me have those things.

I don't know if jealousy would be the right word. At 13 to 16, sure I would have been jealous of him, but at 44 I have matured enough to realize that there is nothing to be jealous of. This will mess with him for the rest of his life.

Had it been my child we wouldn't be having a discussion about punishment for the adult. I would have already taken care of that. The news story would be about the crazy father who killed the adult that was having sex with their child.

even today that kid isn't capable of knowing full well what he is doing. His is too young, too undeveloped, too immature, and frankly too stupid. I have no doubt he was a willing participant, and that's why I am only suggesting removing her from the living. Had it been nonconsensual, death would be too humane.
