if he honestly turned himself in that really does make me think he may be innocent. I don't think anyone whos blown up a bunch of Russians is going to take their chances in a Russian jail lol

Bomb was deactivated by a former OMON (SWAT) officer while subway station was being evacuated. Did not have time to wait for the bomb disposal unit, happen to be on site, so he worked on it by himself. He had prior experience dealing with explosives. 1 kilo, 2.2 ponds of TNT

UK Daily Mail A new photo of a different suspect (below) has now been released. Police in Russia now believe a suicide bomber, who has close links to radical Islamists, was behind the attack. He was described as being a 22-year-old Muslim from Kazakhstan and CCTV images of the suspect have been released.
