My cousin was stationed there at the time. He brought back 75 lbs of the wall. I have a couple small pieces, but a huge chunk of it was in one piece.

somewhere in a junk drawer I've got a little piece of the Berlin Wall, which I picked up from among the weeds and grass at its base in the 1990s in Berlin. Back then, plenty of sections of the wall were still standing, though heavily vandalized and damaged, and they weren't all tourist attractions or photo-op points. Some sections were just, well, a random ugly concrete wall at the back of some business' parking lot.
