Truck problems HELP!! GOT IT FIXED

Similar problem when I installed my T56 in my 1500, If you have a hand held vacuum pump with a moderately (2ft) long rubber hose and a small cone shaped fitting small enough to place into the hole in the master clutch reservoir then hold it in the hole and pump the unit a few times till you reach 10 pounds vacuum. hold it until fluid quits bubbling. should take 2-3 times doing this, or until no more air.

If you still have an issue with engaging first under power, I suggest getting it back to the trans shop because there seems to be a problem with the synchros related to first gear. They should initially be tight, but not that tight. Another problem could be that the fork has to much material worn off and is failing to engage fully.

Hope the proceedure above works for you.

Well I got it fixed, the flywheel was rusted and we had to tow it behind another truck an break it loose. Runs like a champ now!!

So how did it feel winning with the Full Redneck approach? I'd have to drink a beer. I'll go drink a beer right now actually...

I painted mine for abot 100 bucks and a long weekend.
