GM trucks have had problems with the intermediate steering shaft. When your driving and going slightly rough pavement you'll get a vibration / clunking sound from steering wheel and floor board area. Hitting speed bumps will not normally cause the issue or sound. There is a bearing that the shaft goes into but 99% of the time it's the shaft not the bearing.
