What did you do to better your prep today?

Added a few books I have been wanting.

A Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants: Eastern and Central North America (Peterson Field Guide)
Peterson Field Guide(R) to Medicinal Plants (Peterson Field Guides)
Combat Medic Field Reference
Field Guide: InforMed EMS (BLS version)
Field Guide: InforMed EMS (ALS version)

Installed the door I built all purdy for my chicken coop so I don't loose another to that pesky dog. He's lucky I'm not North Korean, he's make some good Kaegogi. Contained all shots to a hocky puck sized group in the head of a PB-27 from 300 yds. silhouette last week. Which doesn't scream awesome but will get the job done. Taking it out to 500 yds next week. Researching powerless shower setups.

I love how well this thread has done btw guys. Thanks for keeping it alive and well.

Bought 2 Blast Matches, 2 Nesbit stoves and fuel, a 1000ft roll of paracord and some other minor things. Packed a GHB(Get Home Bag) for each car.
Basic inventory so far:

Wise food (4 packets of 4 servings)
Water (4 - 16.9 oz bottles)
Water purification iodine treatment
Energy drink mix(for taste and vitamins)
Aspirin
Rain poncho x 2
Emergency blanket x 2
Mechanic/work gloves x 2 pair
Multi-Tool
Medium fixed blade knife
Micro-fiber towel x 2
Fire starting: Blast Match, cotton balls, vaseline, matches, 3-4 disposable lighters.
Mini Maglite 2 AA size with extra batteries
Eat-n-tool, Columbia River x 2
1.5" D-rings x 6
Small sewing kit
Everything is in ziplock bags for water proofing. Extra ziplock bags in pack for later additions/left-over food/replacing torn bags.

Need to add(and don't want to make it too heavy):

Compass
First aid items (thinking small bandaids, gauze, triple antibiotic ointment and a couple of different size kotex pads for larger bandaging. Absorbent, lined and easy to slap on and gauze into place. Not exactly army field dressings but purty close in a pinch.)

Other items ?

I would get some SEALINE dry bags......ziplocks not that great for long term use (at least that has been my experience). Add super glue, steri-strips, tweezers, and a small bottle of iodine (can also use to disinfect water) to the first aid kit. Would have at least one stainless steel water bottle,,,,,you can use to boil water as well.
