What is the "Biggest-Baddest" HAND GUN out there? ((LOOKS LIKE THE 500 IS THE MOST))

454 is a powerful gun.. expecially with heavy grain bullets. win. hi velocity shoot nice in 454. but not the worst kick. i have to agree with the 500 with the 4"bbl. i must also say, the judge dont hold a candle to these. I never shot the 500 with a longer barrel, but it may be about the same as the 4" bbl. because of the added weight.shorter bbl with those big bullets dont allow the pressure to build up to its max.. and shoots one heck of a fire ball out the barrel with unspent powder. Worst thing about hunting with the 500 is walking to the downed game hearing that loud whistling noise.. which last the rest of the day.

I have owned a Freedom arms 454 for over 20 years, I traded for a S&W 460 a few weeks ago,and love it,,,,,,the muzzle blast from the 460 is just nasty, but every time i shoot it i cant help but smile. Its kinda funny how after 2 or 3 shots you have the whole shooting range to yourself....#1 vote for the 460.

The 500 is like an explosion off a trigger pull. And it gets my vote for most powerful.

The S&W 500 that had the opportunity to shoot was the 8" model. It still packed a good whallup.
