What kind of scope should I go with?

Thanks for all the suggestions! Maybe TOO many!!!

I did start looking up online the list of scopes people had suggested, and found a link to read.
"How to choose a rifle scope"
http://www.opticsplanet.net/how-to-choose-riflescope.html

Maybe it will help someone else too.

Although reading about how to choose a scope is great, nothing beats real world use of them, hence why I figured I would ask what other people are using.

Time to do a lot of reading and comparing...

Thanks again!

I don't know whether you are making a long range target, varmint, or deer rifle. If it's for deer, I'd recommend staying with simple. An adjustable objective, and other features are great for target and varmint, but it's been my experience that these features are often more of a hinderance when deer hunting. Things change too fast when deer hunting, a bunch of gadgets is the last thing you need to worry with. I'd buy the best glass I can, and shoot. Shooting your rifle at different ranges is the best investment you can make in long range hunting success. Good luck, and congratulations on your new .280, it's a great round! ChuckDog.
