I'm talking you out of the matches, you can figure a way to make fire without them.
So what would your next pick be?
Ok so rope. Do all kinds of things with 50" of rope.
Set a snare/trap. Secure the tarp/shelter. Use it for lifting and building etc.

Bow drill is perfect with coconut chaff and shells and palm fronds, huge fires. Cook fish and whatever else you catch.
Now I want to go fishing.

Knife (would prefer a cane knife but any cutting tool is better than none)
Pot (cooking, lol)
Boots
Tarp (to catch rain water)
As second choice for 4th item that saw would pretty handy

Pot seems useless. Once smoked it's gone. Unless you landed on pot island.
Rope is hard to make, especially strong rope. I kicked that around for awhile.
I'm with you on the Knife, tarp and fishing rod, but I think I'm going to opt for the pot.
(I mean the actual pot, not the 5 ounces of it, lol.)
I figure I could certainly purity water, capture water. (Between that and the tarp.)
I figure if I banged on it with the knife it would be a noise maker. (If you get dehydrated enough you can't even call for help.). I could certainly cook in it. Move my fire from one place to another.
Ok I talked myself into it. Knife, tarp, fishing rod (boy that fishing line is valuable!) and the pot.

I'm sure there is stuff for a friction fire and to make cordage. Beach coming should turn up trash that would be useful but just being alone can be rough
