Your very first motorcycle?

First motorcycle, 1973 Yamaha AT3 125 - internet photo below.

We started on a Rupp Roadster, then the Yamaha. Followed by a Honda XR185 and a CR250R before finally giving it up.

Cool conversation! Perfect for throwback Thursday.

My first ride was a massive 1977 blue Honda 185 TWINSTAR. Rode it back and forth from Fairburn to Clayton Junior College in 1978-79. Only picture I could find was red, but mine was blue.

Moved up to a Honda CB550 Four with Vetter fairing and then bought a new 1980 Suzuki GS850GT in burgundy. Put a full Vetter package on it (fairing, sound system, tail trunk, saddle bags & Hippo Hands). Totaled it in November 1981 when I came home from Keesler AFB on a three-day pass to pick it up. Didn't ride for 26 years, until 2007, when I bought a 1985 GL1200 Aspencade and restored it (now for sale). Wife just bought me a 2008 pearl white GL1800; God Bless her.

1st bike...my 82 Yamaha Virago 920 with the ****ty starter and everything. Got it for $500.00 & rode every day on base (Camp Pendleton) in the rain, sleet, sun, and snow (not really). I used to carry a hammer in my saddle bags so I could bang on the starter to get it to go. Ah, those were the days.

From that to my '15 Hammer 8-ball has been a long road...With a used '95 Vulcan 1500 in between...:-)

Be safe out there gents (& ladies). There are a lot of crazies on the roads in, & around, the "A".[Broken External Image]:

First one was 1979 Yamaha mx 100. Just got this Harley super glide Saturday night. Been wanting a Harley since the first Yamaha!
