I still cant decide if I like the black scope. I need to stumble upon a silver one worthy of the Tony Kidd upgrades.
I may put this black base on and look.??
Watcha think about the old early model aluminum butt plate? I still have some sanding then brush to match. Im going to replace the butt plate screws with stainless as well and match finish best I can.

I have yet to find an aluminum scope that looks good in my opinion I've tried a few just never warmed up to the look. I much prefer a black scope on a stainless gun. I like your suggestion of changing the base to Blue with aluminum rings and a black scope.

Yeah, most silver sux. Mueller is good but the silver is wrinkly looking and would have to be sanded, polished and brushed to hope you can get a close match.
Im seriously thinking of putting this Nikon on this big sninning wheel with some jewellers rouge.

Awesome butt plate.

That was a pawn shop broken stock find if I recall correctly. Ive sanded with 220 wet so far. Still trying to get the casting imperfections out before I polish and brush or ss wool it if needed.
