My primary deer rifle has been .308 for as long as I have been hunting. I want to switch to .270 and I am looking for advise on what brands I should consider. I am looking to spend around $500. Any advise?

Mossberg Patriot,Browning,Savage, but all of em are accurate,130's for the win.
One of my favorite rifles is a Rem 700 Sendero in .270 WIN. I'd look for a gently used Rem 700 medium contour barrel in .270 WIN if you aren't in a hurry.
If I was in the market in that range for a new bolt action hunting rifle, it would be this. https://grabagun.com/weatherby-v-gard-2-270win-24-syn-bl.html
Sub MOA guarantee, 2 stage trigger, etc. Not sure how you're going to get more for your money.
And FWIW... I have "a number" of bolt actions hunting rifles from different manufacturers. That would still be my choice. Disclaimer: my .270 is a Vanguard (80s vintage so Howa action). One of the most accurate rifles I own ... also not very comfortable to shoot. Thanks
