Anyone deal with bees (wasp)?

You have professionals lined up to help, but for anyone else reading...

Bees are unlikely-- but a huge pain if it's bees. Sure, some beekeeper will come remove them, but you'll have a honeycomb in your wall. If you don't get it out, it'll melt in the summer and attract all sorts of other bugs and critters, not to mention staining sheetrock/whatever. So you'll need some home repair, too.

Yellow jackets are more likely. If you choose to deal with it yourself, here's what doyourownpestcontrol.com says:

Spraying Yellow Jacket Nests:

  1. Spray opening at night with pyrethrin aerosol-CB 80, PT 656 or V One
  2. Wait until aerosol is dry (10-15 minutes)
  3. Dust opening with Tempo Dust or D Fense Dust
I've used the dust in a duster; works great when they are asleep. Will take a few days to kill them all, but it will work.

DYOPC is at Chamblee-Tucker on I85. Good folks and they have everything in stock. Probably somewhere similar closer to McDonough (feed and seed or whatever).

You definitely need to catch or kill one and see if it's a bee or a yellow jacket.
