Anyone else get their property tax statement today?

County shouldn’t be able to tax on increased market value until you sell…until then, it’s an unrealized capital gain…it’s not like you have that cash in the bank. When my value went down $100k below what I paid back during the 09 crash they refused to lower my bill to match the new lower value.

Especially since the County cannot "guarantee" the sale.

I love hearing folks talk about the house they own, the property they own, etc.

Stop paying your taxes and find out how much you "own."

I’m thinking about doing that for a year. Just take a break, come back to vote and leave again. Burying my head in the sand doesn’t help anything but it makes me feel better sometimes.
