The wife and I did ours both in 2008. Went on Friday, came next wednesday. We live in spalding county.

Walton county took less than 2 weeks. Clerk filled out the form on her computer, printed it out and I signed it. Went to room next to clerks office and got electronic fingerprints and 1 ink print and was out the door in less than 20 minutes. It was suprisingly painless for dealing with a government agency. It still irks me to have to get a license to excercise my constitutional right though.

Just a little update! I got it in the mail today! WAHOO! That was really quick for Gwinnett. Only took like 2.5 weeks.

My wife and I got ours back a week later Cherokee County.

When you apply in Gwinnett they tell you 30-90 days. Mine took like 17 days. Love it.

It's a huge responsibility carrying a weapon that with 5 or so lbs. of pressure on the trigger can end someone's life & alter yours forever as well... be careful and I hope you're fortunate enough to never have to use it.
