Carrying a Loaded Gun in Car

You're smart to ask beforehand instead of after the fact.
I have had 4 students so far that local judges in my area sentenced to come take my classes on Firearms law & safety.
While I appreciate the business, they all could have saved themselves from misdemeanor charges by knowing the laws on use of deadly force
& Ga. carry laws.

Wow, I didn't know that was a sentencing option. Pretty cool though if they were just ill-informed folks that needed a little schooling instead of having the book thrown at them.

Yep, where GA residents get in trouble without having a permit, ie having it in the "glove box, center console, etc" without said permit

Or motorcycle I had a snellville cop razz me about my gun in a back pack because I don't have a permit. He said the back pack does not count as a trunk I did not want to open carry due to type of holster. It could have fallen out. He told me to pick up a lock since I was heading to home depot

Yep, i have been to jail for it. Misdemeanor and a $100 fine but it comes with 2 years probation and a 5 year waiting period for a GFL after the probation is over.

My buddy was stopped in AL nearly what you got but no probation. He had to hire a lawyer to get his GWL. All for a "equipment" stop burned out tail light.
They asked to look in his car and like a dumb ass he said sure. They found his 1911A in the glove box... Citation for the tail light and the lawyer had to get his firearm back.... Lesson - GET YOUR GWL
