Ccw and gun shows?

Confused. Why would you disarm?
The signs at the show say, "No loaded guns. No loaded magazines. No loose ammunition."
I adhere to the letter of their instructions. I unload my piece (S&W Model 60) and let them zip-tie it. I keep a loaded speed-strip (not loose ammo, not a magazine) and a small cutter in my pocket. As I am leaving, I usually go in a stall in a restroom, cut the tie, and load my piece. Once in Savannah, I had forgotten my cutter. I asked the officer who was tying the guns at the door if he would cut the tie. He cut it, handed the gun back to me, and asked if I had ammo for it. I equivocated, "Well, Sir, your sign says no loose ammo." He winked at me and said, "It ain't much good without ammo, is it?"

Either conform to the wishes of the property owner, or don't go to the show.
