Clabbered Milk anyone?

Can't be fat free lite Buttermilk either. It HAS to be whole (loaded with fat) and cold. :hungry:
My mother always had a jug of it in the fridge. She used it to make the best biscuits on the planet.
What I would give to have her back, and a pan of those biscuits. Pure delight!
But drink it? No sir.

Souse meat or (head cheese) as some call it is drawing the line. That’s some kinda nasty.
Buttermilk on the other hand is God’s gift to us that like pancakes, biscuits, cornbread, & at times just a cold glass.

My Dad used to make what I called 'Redneck milkshakes', crumbled cornbread in a glass with buttermilk poured over it...it used to make me gag.

I'd give anything to drink one with him one last time.

My grandmother used to do this also.
Just thinking about her biscuits makes me want to cry.

My grandfather used to do this. If he didn't have cornbread, he would use saltine crackers. I'll try anything once, but I couldn't try this.
