Where is all the Ruger love on here? Looked at like 40 pages and only saw Smith's

I have a new addition that I hoped someone could help me with. Ruger security Six with a 4" barrel, adjustable sights, target stocks, chambered in 38 special. I have never seen one in 38 only. I will post a pic shortly. Hopefully someone can give me some info such as value, year, etc

This website will tell you the year busy the serial number on your firearm. As far as I've read Security Sixes in 38 special only are kinda rare but not so rare to be worth thousands or anything. These were mostly marketed to Law Enforment agencies back in the day.

I appreciate the link. I didn't expect it to run into the thousands but thought it would hold a higher value than the normal 357 models.

According to the list it is a 1977 model. That's a start.
