A friend gave me about 750 rounds of 223 that were salt water exposed from hurricane flood water. It was corroded however I tumbled it in Lyman media and wiped with micro fiber cloth. Out of the 750 only two did not go bang.

I only have a wet drum tumbler that I use for baffles. It works with dry media, but you can only do a small amount at a time.
I tried walnut shells and rice. Basmati rice, as its smaller and a bit more harder than plain white rice. Results were better than I thought. The walnut shells left a lot of dust and a build up on the lead, the rice did the same as far as build up, just not as bad. Let them run for 1hr. Then wiped em down.

Appears to be a success. Now it's time ring some steel.
Now to figure out how to get a day off!
